Kansas Firm Recalls Beef Frankfurters Because Of Undeclared Allergen

WASHINGTON, May 16, 2003—Farmland Foods Inc., a Wichita, Kan., establishment, is voluntarily recalling approximately 22,400 pounds of beef frankfurters because of an undeclared allergen (milk), the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced today.

The products subject to recall are:

All of the products listed above bear the establishment number "EST. 717W" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Farmland Foods discovered the problem. FSIS has received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an illness should contact a physician
